Rachel’s Version
————
The first day of medical school is usually a significant event in itself but it's overshadowed as the day I met Trevor. I was so nervous that day but decided to fake confidence by sitting next to the cutest guy in the lecture hall. Naturally, I sat next to Trevor. He soon became a constant. Studying in the lecture halls, celebrating wins at dollar oyster night, walking Gus on walks from our downtown apartment. Our lives blended so effortlessly. I knew I never wanted to do it without him.
Trevor’s Version
————
We ended up starting our residencies on completely opposite ends of the country in 2020. By the time we're done it will be 5 years apart. Long distance has its challenges, but being with Rachel has never been a part of that challenge. Going from seeing each other every day to seeing each other four to five times a year only brought us closer. Proposing in Costa Rica in 2022 remains one of the best decisions I've ever made.
And the rest is history
From our first encounter in med school to Trevor’s heartfelt proposal, our relationship continues to get better every year. We are excited to affirm our commitment to each other in front of all of our friends and family.
